King Zor

| | Comments (4)

A memory popped into my head yesterday and I went about it on Google. I love the internet. I found King Zor in a number of places. I had one. King Zor is the coolest toy ... EVER. Batteries not included. I know Santa didn't pay $175-$1000 for it and if I still had it, that wouldn't be nearly enough to pry it away from me.

Quote of the Day
Be ready for King Zor. He's ready for you.

Oh, yes. I remember Zor well. I also remember that he quit on us pretty fast. I think your sisters might have a different take on him -- I think they all ran for cover when he'd start up. The commercial was wonderful.

Yeah, I loved the commercial. I remembered it as Zor, as well, not King Zor. That was fun to see, too.

Classic. I don't remember that particular toy, maybe it didn't last long on the shelves. I think most of the battery operated toys we had in my family were vehicles; cars, trains, that sort of thing.

Looks like it came out in 1962, Dave. Probably a little before your time.
