I offer one from the back deck on this dreary CrabAppleLane Sunday. This is our backyard Bradford Pear tree. It still has a mixture of green, yellow, red, and brown leaves along with a plethora of Bradford pears. No idea if the pears are edible but nothing I know eats them.

Quote of the Day
He needs to know he's disgraced himself and he's disgraced the people of Illinois.
Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn, Illinois
Blog of the day here.
Quote from said blog: "It's kind of ridiculous that the Panthers are still scraping to secure the division at 11-4, with the Arizona Cardinals floundering at 8-7 yet locked in for a home playoff game, but hey, that's just the way it goes."

You painted that leaf, right? Why not try one of those pears; I thought Bradford pears were what we bought at Winn-Dixie?
The red leaves fascinate me a bit more than most. Not sure why. I think you're thinking of Bartlett pears. Bradford pears don't get any larger than the ones pictured ... about the size of your average marble.
