Via Instapundit: Product placement is the theme. It sails right over my head. I think Paris when I see the Eiffel Tower in a movie, New York when I see the Statue of Liberty, and London if I see Big Ben. That kind of placement works. Unless it's an integral part of the story like the Challenger in Vanishing Point or the Thunderbird in American Graffiti, a car is just a car to me when I see one in a movie. If Ford was trying to influence me in Quantum of Solace, they wasted a ton of money. If you read a few comments on that blog entry, it appears that automotive product placement insults most of those who do take notice. With that in mind and with the automotive economy being what it is these days, I'm thinking film productions will be buying/leasing their own vehicles in the near future.

(through his Make it Right Foundation) today opened the most technologically advanced playground in North America."
