Rendition is a film that I'm guessing has a political point of view but I don't think it executes it very well. The film seems to argue against rendition and maybe torture, too, but I'm not certain about that one. Very curious quote attributed to then Vice-President Al Gore in that Wikipedia article. I digress. Everyone will be horrified by the man who is wrongly accused, hooded, and whisked away to some unknown location without knowing why. He's tortured and finally gives up false information because, well, he doesn't have any other kind. He's willing to admit anything just to get it to stop. So rendition is a despicable practice and torture doesn't work, right? Later in the film, another man is tortured and he does give up the information that is being sought. Now what? The methods employed were extreme in both cases. It's a decent movie and I can live without knowing the point it was trying to make.

You know my thoughts on rendition so no need to get into that here. I had thought I heard the movie was much more anti than you seem to think, but I haven't seen it.
Interesting name for a builder in that BOTD. I saw this line in one of the entries:
"Many homes over 5-7 years old suffer from bathrooms that are in really bad shape..."
Really? How bad is the construction of new homes these days that a bathroom is in bad shape after only 5-7 years?
btw-I dropped the entry fees in the mail for post-season ffl this weekend so you should have that this week. Worst post-season ever for my prognostications, but I have a lot of company there.
I read that, too, Dave, but I took it as a builder drumming up business. Our house is 14 years old and our bathrooms are not in any worse shape than our kitchen, living room, or bedrooms. If builders/architects came up with a self-cleaning model, we'd get in line at just about any price.
What? And take ALL the fun out of your weekends? I don't think so.
The novelty and/or fun of cleaning the new house wore off, for me, about 6 weeks in ... or was it 6 days? I forget.
