This team does not look like a good bet to repeat as champions. I noticed at the end of the auction that I only had one quarterback and way too many running backs. Was not my intention. I usually want two QBs and five RBs. I'll release one of the RBs and pick up a QB after the season starts. Not sure where my mind was yesterday. I paid $15 for Willie Parker last week in my other league. I let someone else have him for $7 yesterday at a time when I still needed running backs. No one went for Michael Vick. How the rest of the auction shook out.

Not sure I agree with him but perhaps my actions speak louder than my words. I didn't bid on him in either league. -Rob
We drafted last night. I'll put a post up later on it, but nobody took Vick in my league either. The contempt was openly voiced. I grabbed Favre with my last pick(12th) partly as a lark, but who knows.
If Vick starts putting up fantasy numbers, someone will grab him in every league but it won't be me. No one took him in either of my leagues but he was picked up at the conclusion of my first auction. The guy outbid me for Jake Delhomme and then released him to pick up Vick.
Oh, and Favre was grabbed in both leagues here. If history is an indicator, he puts up decent numbers early and then fades. May turn out to be a shrewd move, especially if the Vike receivers step up. I wouldn't count on him for anything but spot duty, though.
Agreed. I'm not sure the Vikings receivers will step up, or even if Favre will. If they do manage to click, holy cow.
