The goal for the Saints in the last preseason game is to get out of it in one piece. They play the Dolphins tonight and I'm sure Dolphins fans are thinking the same thing. To make things worse from a viewing standpoint, the two teams play each other in Miami in a few weeks so both teams figure to hold a lot back. Most of the starters will play very little, if at all. Coach Rob would plant Drew Brees on the bench tonight but Coach Payton is going to let him play a series or two. Don't get me wrong. I love to watch him play but there are guys playing tonight that are desperate to make a team while other guys have their team made. It's a dangerous mix. No accidents, please. The BOTD has a different take.
Today's QOTD inspired by Fi a Kiwifruit. It is a song that was not in my Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler collection. It was on one of Dire Straits greatest hits CDs but I picked it up at iTunes by itself the other day because I had all of the rest of the songs. That seems to be a growing trend. Greatest hits albums used to be great for people that only had a passing interest in the artist. They used to include only previously released material that devoted fans already had. Now, greatest hits CDs include new or previously unreleased original material in order to lure their devoted fans into buying them. Yay for iTunes.
