There has been a relentless search for Osama Bin Laden for a long time now. I wouldn't let too much ride on the outcome of that particular endeavor.

Note to Microsoft: I like automatic downloading of updates and do not want to turn it off. Instead of asking me if I want to install "updates", why not tell me how many updates you want to install? If it's 2, I might say yes. If it's 13, I may do that later. I know there are probably ways to avoid this dilemma but I absolutely do not want to be bothered with them. I already waste too much time and brain matter on the computer.

Second note to Microsoft: Don't release so may updates at the same time. Ditto on the I know there are probably ways to avoid, etc...

There is some predictable fallout in Washington from the Redskins loss to the Saints this past Sunday. They've released their placekicker, Shaun Suisham. The guy was 18 for 21 this season and 3 for 4 on the day but that one miss Sunday and the two a couple of weeks before cost him his job. That was the easiest thing to do, I suppose. Head Coach Jim Zorn:

We played for that field goal. And we were all assured, and I believe Shaun was assured, that, you know, that ball was gonna go through with that 23-yard field goal. And yet it didn't. It does affect all of us.

The Redskins had a 7pt lead at that point with less than two minutes to play in regulation. I suppose you shouldn't fire the coach who played for the field goal in the first place or the 11 guys who let the Saints drive 80 yards in the next 33 seconds to tie the game. 80 yards, 33 seconds. Well, maybe they won't get fired this week.

Quote of the Day
Anyway, as you've probably heard, the Tiger Woods Bunny Ranch has grown to reported double-digits. By the time you've finish reading this Countdown, it may be illegal. See, according to PGA rules, players are allowed only 14 clubs in the bag. Forrrrreee!

Good points about Suisham being released. He'll land somewhere. Nothing personal against their new kicker, Gano, but I hope he misses that first one.
