Not quite as cold today as it was yesterday but still icy by CrabAppleLane standards. The power held up this time and the stove has been burning non-stop. Our cat, Crispin, likes that. See photo below. He alternates between lying in the chair, the blanket beneath the chair, and that rug between the chair and the stove. No idea how he can stay that close to the stove for so long but he gets comatoasty (Patsy's word).
Looks to me like the Bengals were built to play well with the kids in their sandbox but can't play well with other kids. 6-0 against the teams in their division, 4-7 against teams outside of it. They're done. The Jets turn back into a pumpkin next week. I don't care what Rex Ryan says. They're no match for the Colts or Chargers.
The Cowboys continued their hot play and will play the Vikings next Sunday in Minneapolis. That's a terrific matchup. The Vikes have a much more balanced offense, a better defense, and they'll be playing at home, where they haven't lost this season. Andy Reid has got to find some balance on his Eagles offense next year. They throw too much and depend too much on big plays. Not only does that make them more predictable but it also doesn't afford his suspect defense much rest.
The Saints will play today's Packers-Cardinals winner next Saturday. I have no hopes for either team to win for fear that I may get what I want. They are both excellent teams and the winner will be very confident next week. It will be a tough assignment for the Saints either way.

The Cowboys are dangerous and either AZ or GB can be too. It will be interesting to see how it works out, but I give Arizona a slight edge today.
