Congrats to the Lakers on their 16th NBA title. Tried to stay with it but just ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. Basketball-sleep? Sleep-basketball? Sorry, basketball.

Looks like my server database problems are still unresolved. Sorry if it slowed you down or frustrated you the last few days. It's unfortunately out of my hands.

My old buddy, Mike Florio, on the upcoming NFL season:

And, yes, Who Dat nation, I've arrived at the end of my list and omitted the Saints. This means that they'll be on the list of the six teams most likely to get bounced.

I really don't have anything to say about an opinion. Everyone has one. The Saints are a veteran group. They don't need a lot of rah rah rah motivation. They need not look hard for it if they did, though. It's fashionable in sports punditry to go against the grain. It wasn't that long ago that the pundits were writing things like this. Despite an offense coming back wholly intact and a better-than-advertised defense with another year under their coach's belt, the majority opinion seems to be that they're in for a rough year. Maybe so. Still, I'd like to see someone in that world go against the grain and declare that, maybe, just maybe, well, never mind ... may be best they continue doing what they're doing. It worked so well for them ... and me ... last year. :)

Quote of the Day
This was the hardest one by far. I wanted it so bad, and sometimes when you want it so bad, it slips away from you. My guys picked me up.

I've been having my own PC/connectivity issues at home and at work. It's been that kind of week I guess.
