I know summer doesn't officially start until June 20-21 but I just about fainted yesterday afternoon in the sweltering heat at CrabAppleLane and the sun wasn't even shining most of that time. The high 80s temps are manageable so I'm thinking the 100% humidity might have been the culprit. I don't know how these guys were doing what they were doing. You'd think someone (Me) who has lived here his entire life would be used to the heat and humidity by now. I don't think you ever get used to it.
There will be a new NCAA Baseball National Champion. The LSU Tigers were sent home yesterday by UC-Irvine. All of the problems they were having prior to the SEC Tournament showed up again during the regional. Slow starts in the last two games doomed them. Except for the four games they played in the SEC Tournament, they have not played very well this season considering the level of talent and experience on that team. Disappointing but they are where they belong today ... at home watching.

I want to reach out
And touch the sky
I want to touch the stuff
But I don't need to fly

Ahh... humidity. There's nothing like stepping outside and having your breath catch because the air is so thick it's hard to breathe.
Years ago a buddy and I flew back from Boston to Dayton. When the door of the place was opened the heat and humidity washed over us and my buddy turned to me and said, "Well, I haven't missed that."
As thick as it sometimes gets here, you may have it even worse.
It's crushing, Delmer. I've been up north (Minneapolis) in summertime. Hot, certainly, but I don't think I was ever uncomfortable. I was very uncomfortable yesterday.
