How I Write

Stolen from Delmer because it is irresistible.

For my Green Zone post, I wrote like Stephen King.

For A February Morning, I wrote like David Foster Wallace.

For Road Construction, I wrote like William Shakespeare. Yeah, I had to laugh at this one, too.

For Time Running Out on 2008, I wrote like James Joyce.

For One of the dumbest questions ever - Part 25879877, I wrote like Douglas Adams.

The only one that came up more than once for me was David Foster Wallace. For what it's worth, I don't write like any of them except that I may utter some of the same words as them (The, and, if, what, upon, too) once in a while. Give it a try.

I did it twice. The last entry on my blog got Dan Brown. The last entry on the Lunch with Brian blog got Stephen King. I like the Stephen King result better. I've never heard of David Foster Wallace before, but I know a few people whose writing resulted in a comparison to him.

Very clever tool!

Tested ten posts. Nine David Foster Wallace, one Stephen King.

I've never heard of David Foster Wallace. I'll have to do some Googling too...
