I saw a small blurb a few weeks ago about a new TV show on the FX network called Terriers. They were advertising the pilot and it looked interesting. The pilot was good enough to get me to stick with it for at least another week. That was six weeks ago. I've seen every episode. The characters do not all look like movie stars. It also looks kinda low budget but I think that's intentional to give the show its gritty feel. The two main characters are unlicensed private investigators. One is a recovering alcoholic ex-cop and the other is a somewhat reformed thief. Yeah, it's a buddy show and that idea is not original. The stories, so far, have only been OK but I'm hoping that's because they're concentrating so much on establishing the characters first. If it survives the first season, it will do so on the strength of those characters. I like it so I give it little chance. Its blog is today's BOTD.
