It was a Tuesday 10 years ago. I had just gotten to work. In my office in New Orleans, I was the only one who had the internet on my computer. One of my co-workers asked me about the plane that crashed into a building in New York. I knew nothing about it at the time. I tried a few different news websites but many of them were absolutely overwhelmed. I know that now. Then, I didn't know about servers getting overpowered by traffic volume. I finally found MSNBC's live coverage and live video and just stayed there for the next two hours or so. Between phone calls and going about my job, I saw the second plane hit, the first tower collapse, and, finally, the second tower collapse. It was live on my computer terminal. Anger would come later and lots of it but the sadness was there right from the beginning. It's still here. The anger has dissipated some but it's still here, too. I won't live long enough for either to pass entirely and I'll never forget. Never.

I pretty much feel the same way. If others want to let it fade away then so be it. I don't think I ever will.
And I'm only suggesting. People should do what's right for them.
I spent all day on the internet too...couldn't quite believe it was true. Was stunned and angry and appalled.
NZ's thoughts are with you all in the US xxxx
The world is a sadder place because of the events of that day, Fi.
I was on the phone (on hold) with tech support when one of our engineers passed and said a plane had hit one of the towers. We both assumed it was a Cessna or something else small. I can't believe it's been 10 years already.
I can't believe it, either, Delmer. Good to see you again.
