Hard, hard fought game last night in Tuscaloosa. Didn't look like much if you're a fan of pretty football but it looks fine this morning to this Tiger fan.

Saints are up, 17-3, at the half over a tough Tampa team in a pretty chippy game so far. They need to not let up. Update: Saints, 24-9, with 11 minutes remaining.

Think I have everything back to normal here. I think. Everything that was giving me trouble before seems to be working now. We'll see. Your patience is appreciated.
I offer one image of what passes for color changes here at CrabAppleLane. No comparison to what my northern friends get to see.

Quote of the Day
LSU still rules. Not because someone said so, but because it came here and took what it wanted.

Thanks for linking, Rob. Wish I could send you some of these colors.
Congrats to LSU. I should have put that $50 down. ;) Alabama played a great game, but I don't see them(or anyone else) winning a national championship with that kicking game.
This is a bad year for color here, Marie. Usually, my Bradford pear trees put on a decent show. This year, they got hit with the ugly stick, too.
It was very tense, Dave. I kept thinking if the Tigers could just get a touchdown, the game would be out of reach. FWIW, those offenses are not nearly as bad as they looked. They were both playing against not only great defenses but great defenses that were supremely jacked up for that game.
I hadn't seen Alabama play before last night. I have seen that LSU offense stomp on a some other teams this year. There were a few offensive play calls I didn't like on LSU's part, but the real difference there was Alabama's defense played a great game.
Except for two or three busted assignments, both defenses played great. The teams are too similar in talent and philosophy. Neither was going to be able to create much distance from the other. The real difference, as you said, was the kicking game. LSU's was far superior and if Nick ignores that again next year, shame on him.
