Some old Louisiana beer photographs at the link below. What's not to love? Note to non-DSLers: It's a large file.
About today's BOTD: I never much cared for painted flames on the side of a car/motorcycle/whatever. Now, there is something else I don't need to see them on.
I offer one from the CrabAppleLane Backyard on this great day for parading or grilling. I grilled. Like there's ever a bad day for that ...

Quote of the Day
For every photo of a breast-feeding mother or nude drawing clumsily removed from Facebook, content monitors slog through overwhelming evidence of humanity at low tide. For the dirty job of censoring content on the social network that just filed a $100 billion IPO, at least one former oDesk employee told Chen he earned $1 an hour.

Blog of the day is here.
Quote from said blog: "There’s a running joke in the Rockabilly scene about flames, dice and cherries being the symbol of the 1950s infatuated followers of this subculture. Cars, tattoos, clothing – you name it. Anything can be made more “Rockabilly” with these calling card symbols."

That is an amazing photo, Rob. Very well done. Also, happy belated birthday.
Thanks, Marie, on both counts. :)
Re: BOTD
I didn't know what to expect there, but it sure wasn't that. Am I a hillbilly if I say I kind of liked them?
That is a neat shot. Is that setting sunlight?
I thought I was the hillbilly for not liking them.
That's flourescent light from our kitchen window.
Yeah, that's a nice shot, Rob. Good eye!
The wife thinks it looks like a junkyard. She doesn't like the mirliton pole. The one she wanted me to erect.
