Free unsolicited, unwanted advice to the New Orleans Saints from a lifelong Saints fan: Plow straight ahead. Cooperate fully. Answer all questions truthfully. The league is going to do what they're going to do. The media is going to do what they're going to do. Make no excuses. Accept the punishment. That is all.
RIP, Ronnie Montrose. That 1973 debut album was one of the best of all time. Rock The Nation and Space Station #5 are on the CrabAppleLane Five Star Playlist. There is not a band song on that entire album.
I offer one from the CrabAppleLane backyard. It will be in action next weekend.

Oh what a time we had
Living underground
I move to Station #5
See you next time around
Montrose, Space Station #5
Blog of the day is here.
Quote from said blog: "I can easily imagine her analyzing financial statements and recommending investments (credit not equity, though) rather than spending un-lucrative time in a bio-chemistry lab."

I think your advice to the Saints is sound. Stonewalling or dragging it out will only make matters worse with the NFL and the fans.
Re: the picture, it brings the following lyric to mind:
"I think I hear
A noisy old John Deere
In a field specked with dirty cotton lint
And below the field
Runs a little shady creek,
And there you'll find the cool green leaves of mint. ..."
The PR battle is lost. Was really no battle at all and there is no point in flailing at that. I'd be interested to know if there was even one payout for an injury and I'd like to know if that play was flagged or the player fined. Wonder if that's in any of those 18,000 documents.
What's that from, Dan?
Oh no. Has the karmic retribution from the bounty scandal begun? Randy Moss possibly on the New Orleans Saints? I expected the Saints to pay a heavy price, but that's just cruel.
I considered that a preemptive sacrifice to the karma gods.
Let's see:
1. The Saints are nagged for employing a bounty hunter system.
2. Drew Brees resists the franchise tag, wants a long-term contract, threatening a protracted negotiation.
3. The Saints considering a Randy Moss signing.
Which is worse? :-)
Monty, I'll take door #3!
I agree, GWS. What I have never understood is his teammates always, always standing by him. There is no doubt he can make plays for the Saints but would he be satisfied being just one of the many? We know what he is when he isn't satisfied. I don't think he's worth anywhere near what someone will end up paying him. I'd rather the Saints focus on bringing back Colston and Meachem.
