CrabAppleLane Cardinals - Hurricane Isaac - August 29, 2012
Nothing steady here yet. The rain comes for a little while and then dies down. The wind only comes in gusts. Nothing is sustained. My fellow area residents south of here are getting pelted pretty good, though. Still no loss of power here except for a brief 30-second hiccup last night.
Is it common for birds to be hanging around during a hurricane, or does it just depend on the intensity?
They stay, Allie, and try to carry on business as usual. We had hummingbirds coming to our feeders throughout Hurricane Katrina and she was way stronger for a lot longer than Isaac has been so far.
The birds must know something that we don't. Glad you are keeping us updated.
