One weekend the Laurendine's and the Barkers were going to Aunt Jessie & Uncle Wesley's for the day or weekend. Ced and I decided to bring our train sets so we'd have fun all day/weekend. Experience had taught us that a dirty floor (especially dust & fur) was trouble for all the moving parts so we asked about vacuuming. Cheryl was nice enough to help with that task and even began vacuuming for us. Well, she had no pattern to her work. She just went this way and that way and missed plenty. I don't remember how I put it, but she got mad when her efforts were not good enough. She was upset, but uncle Wes backed me up on the issue. It ended up that Cheryl left in a huff and I vacuumed the area myself. Ced and I had a great time. I only hope that Cheryl didn't stay mad for long.
Apparently so! Love you all and hope all those mom in our family had great mother's days. Mine was spent at the lake camping with mom, dad, tracy and my boys. Great time! Cole loved the tent. Guess he doesn't remember last summer...
Here's my first try. I don't even know if I'm posting in the right place!
The Barkers might remember how we used to change everyone's name by replacing the beginning consonant with "Sn___". For instance, Joel became Snoel, and Bobette became Snobette. And somehow Suzanne, more commonly known back then as Suzie, became Snoozy... which eventually evolved to Sneeze. Anyone remember how that got started? ~ Patsy ~
Re: House On Pasadena
Wasn't there also a rope that we could swing from... Tarzan style?
OK, here goes. I have the best family in the world and that's all I'll say for my first time.
Well maybe not. Memories are great. They make us who we are and keep us going.
