Autumn in Bush

Below is one of my Bradford pear trees exhibiting what passes for color changes here in the south. Those trees, my other pear trees, and two Chinese tallow trees I planted that Kevin dug up out of the Erickson yard are the only trees that put on any kind of a show here.

And the picture below looks like a typical cabbage patch. There are no cabbages here. There are collard greens, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, chives, carrots, and a lone tomato bush that came up on its own. It would be a real treat to have vine-ripened tomatoes in December but I am not optimistic about that.
