Art on CrabAppleLane

Painting

I bought this painting from a starving artist ( That’s what she said ) outside of Jackson Square in the French Quarter in New Orleans. This was on the day we went to Muriels. Mom had to lend me $10 to buy it. It cost me twice as much to frame it as it did to purchase it. I know zero about art. I just liked the colors.

I like your painting, Rob. The frame looks great, too. Everything we have ever framed has always cost more than the original artwork. I have felt embarrassed at times getting stuff framed because I know very little about art, color schemes, etc. and have felt that I was being judged by the snooty clerks.

Our snooty clerk hides it very nicely but I'm sure she laughs when we leave. As long as she waits until then, though, I suppose its OK.

Testing one two.

I have done something wrong. Two comments I made on entries disappeared. So, I did that test.

Okay, here goes. I love that painting. It is the subject matter that gets me. I can just about hear his bubumbubumboombuhboom. You are so good about supporting artists and musicians, Robbie. That's so cool. We need them in this dry, and often humorless, world. They grease the wheel of life.

Well said, Janine. The painting is very cool.

Great eye, Robbie! I have to admit I didn't think much of the painting when you bought it, but it looks great framed!
