Where is this? China? I like the American baby bottle. Did the mother abandon it? I watch Animal Planet a lot, and I have seen some really nice documentaries about China's efforts at preservation of their Panda population. Seems like a lost cause, but maybe not. Good picture.
Probably China.
As Nicole said, "ohhhhhh that is soooo cute!" She used to have her room decorated in Panda motif when she was little and still loves them. Carol
Hi, y'all! What's up? Right now I am doing a project for science and it's due Monday. We're suppose to trace a trait (ex. eye color) from all the way to our great-grandparents. I was wondering if anybody knew what color eyes Cora Tompkins and her husband (I don't know his name!)had. Any help would be appreciated!
Hey Mary Catherine. Your grandmother would be the person to ask. Your great grandmother Cora's husband's name was Robert. Your uncle is named after him. I don't remember what color their eyes were although I want to say brown. I usually remember who has blue eyes or green eyes.
Mary Catherine and also Robbie: No one in my family had brown eyes. Parents. Brothers. Sister. Uncles. Aunts. Grandparents. All were blue-eyed. Great-grandfather's name was Robert Matthew Tompkins and Great-grandmother's name was Catherine Cora O'Connell. I'm sorry I missed your phone call yesterday, Mary Catherine. I did call you back but there was no answer. And then your mother told me you got the information somewhere else, but I included it here just in case you were misinformed.
eye color is an interesting thing to track. I'm the only one in my family that ended up with hazel color eyes. John has hazel eyes too but both our kids have blue eyes.
Mary,
Did I also mention that I'm not very observant?
No, I do not want a panda. I would like to pet one, though. He/she is so cute and cuddly-looking.
I could have answered your question with a best guess, but only because of assuming that both grandparents had blue eyes. It is an Irish trait, isn't it? I am blue-eyed, but both of my people have brown eyes. Your Aunt Katie has brown eyes, but both of her people have blue. Aunt Sue gazed lovingly into 5-week old Brianne's eyes and coo'ed, "you and your yucky brown eyes." (Uncle Scott has blue eyes, and all 4 of their children take after their mother) I told her to give me that baby. Not one color is better than another. And then there is blue-eyed Jackson; both parents have dark brown eyes. Mary Catherine, I would be interested to hear about what you learn about that.
Actually, Janine, Phil has very green eyes. His mother has no recollection if they were blue when he was younger. Still green and brown eyes gets blue?? Jacob has brown like his mother.
My family got a little of both. Dad had blue. Mom has brown. Beth has green (I think), Mike has brown, Joan and I both have blue as do Brandon, Taylor, Danny, Brian, Mark & Bill. Danny's baby blues win the prize though. As a baby, toddler, preschooler they were the prettiest shade of blue.
One of these days I am going to buy a digital camera and show you! ;o)
