Thanksgiving Day

Here's the rundown: I've got the turkey, peas, pumpkin pie, and a homemade cranberry cocktail which has a medley of fruit and chopped nuts in it made by a friend. Mom and Christina have cauliflower au gratin and sweet potatoes. I have some 2-liters here left over from the fish fry. David's got the mashed potatoes; I shot down his offer of green bean casserole. He called last night to offer them. I told him we (all Mangunos) would not eat them. Mushrooms are nasty. He said his kids wouldn't touch them either and then he talked himself out of the offer. Are you coming Robbie and Patsy? We will miss the Soule's this year, but happy they will be with Scott's family in Florida. It will seem like a small crowd without them and Sue's family. Angela too. She and Joey will be sharing thanksgiving with Joey's family. I have to talk with Katie and then we will be all set.

We won't be there. I have things to do in the morning. Patsy and I have plans for the afternoon and evening. Thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you! Your dinner sounds great except that I like green bean casserole! We're not having that either.

Joan usually does the dinner at her house. She has Grandma and Grandpa's old dining set so the rule was that she got the table, then she gets Thanksgiving. She's got plenty of room there but... This year Joan is making the roast beast at my house. So she gets to cook, I get to clean. I guess that's a good exchange. Everyone brings something and my dust bunnies get ousted.

I'll be fighting the grocery store and the liquor store tonight. Of course, my list is at home so I can sit down for a minute before I hit the store? Best not to chance it, I may not get up.

The high temp today was at 6:00 a.m. at 37, it's been dropping slowly all day to the current 29. 34 is forecast for tomorrow and 28 on Thursday for high temps. Haven't seen any of that "S" word yet so we have lots to be thankful for. Stayed tuned...

We are 14 or 15 this year.

Cool, Robbie. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Patsy. And a happy one to the rest of you's. Here's more of the list since Katie checked in yesterday - she is bringing garlic bread, salad, wine, and an appetizer - possibly a cheese ball and crackers or a veggie tray.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Hey Janine, you'd have to try my green bean casserole. I don't put mushrooms in mine. If you like stuffed artichokes, you'd like the casserole, cause thats what it tastes like! Tell your family I said hi and send my love.

Hey, Donna. I know that recipe and make it a few times a year. We've had it for thanksgiving before too. My grandmother used to bring it. I love that stuff. My peeps too.
