Send him to my house. All the flowers he can plant and all the pizza he can eat.

Jackson is such a sweet boy! He loves to help out. He helped Joey plant a vegetable garden last spring.

Jackson does love to help out with those kinds of things. It's a good thing he has such a large extended family who do like to dig in the dirt because he'd never get that experience with me. I hate getting my hands dirty.

Now I just need to send him over to Janine's to get some experience in baking, as I don't like to do that either!!

On the other hand, he will always be well dressed and in matching clothes - my contribution to his upbringing! I'm not the earth mother type. The boys love to try to gross me out. Jackson is quickly learning to read and spell and with that he's learned to spell R-A-T just as I'm about to take a bite at dinner. Boys are so gross, how will I ever survive?!!

That's not fair at all! We can't think about putting anything in the ground until at least the end of May or early June!!!! Lately Haytham has been asking to go camping and doesn't quite understand that we don't camp in the snow. Amazing how even a 4 year gets spring fever!

Christina, all I know is that boys were meant to by nasty...so Jackson has THAT going for him. However, I cannot say the same for having matching clothes, much less dressing well. Take the boy to a Good Will and call it a day! That's all I have to say about that.

This coming from the boy who will wear the same t-shirt for a week, I'm sorry but you do not qualify as an authority on fashion sense (or hygiene)! By the way, how's that cookbook coming, Mr. Macho? Did you finish copying your favorite recipes from your Mom?

I just have a lot of duplicate shirts...that's all. What's wrong with that? Besides, there is new research that leads us to believe that the washers and dryers of the world are in fact what is causing the phenomenon known as "global warming". Again, I am just doing MY part as a concerned citizen of the world. Unlike some (for ex. Kellie, AKA public enemy #1), I am concerned for the future of our children. I want to make sure they can go out and play and not be burnt to a crisp due to the gaping hole in our ozone.

All that to just say this...A real man can wear pink as long as it's not ironed; eat kiesch as long as he mispells it & especially if he made it; and finally, a real man would fight off the women of the world who feel it neccesary to wash clothes only after wearing them for an hour, and as a result further deplete our only protection from the earth's yellow sun.

Really, the whole washer thing was directed towards Kellie, not Christina...but if the shoe fits. As far as the Man Brothel cook book is concerned, we haven't yet finished but are in the process of compiling the manliest of manly dishes...including pictures. :)

After the recent comments made by my dearly beloved, I feel the time has come for me to make my debut on the blog. I am not quite sure how I became the subject of this verbal debate where the essence of my character is being flogged before a group of people I would prefer to hold me in high reguard. While I do find the washer and dryer to be an ingenuous approach to cleaning clothes and leaving them snuggly soft with a fresh floral scent, I do not find my use of these two items excessive. As Christina has already stated, Stephen has no problem wearing the same shirt or outfit for a week straight without washing. I, on the other hand, do and am sure that the majority of you can relate with me here. I find it tacky for a man to criticize the washing habits of the, up until this point, willing woman whose home he treats as a laundry mat!!! So, if the "washing women" of the world are in fact contributing to this "global warming" phenomenon, Stephen, I suggest you find your own washer and dryer and join us on our quest to reveal the yellow sun and all her glory.
Kellie

Kellie-

Well said! Two points for Kellie. Stephen showed me his comment earlier, and he wanted me to post an AMEN, but I have to say that AMEN goes to you girl! Only now, without the use of your washer, I am afraid that is the end of Stephen's "clean" clothes. He will be just as gross as all the other boys in The Man Brothel.

Bravo, Kellie! Mama thought that Joey was doing his part to save the ozone layer after coming to my house last week to help out. She washed a mountain of laundry for me- a good part of which was Joey's unmentionables. As she left she told him that he didn't need to wear a diaper to work the next day because she had done the washing.

I couldn't have said it better, Kellie. So Stephen, have fun at the wash-o-rama. At least you'll get to catch up on your reading. And thank your lucky stars that Kellie's olfactory(sp?) senses are underdeveloped as she is not able to smell your foul odor!

Go Kellie, it's your birthday!!!

Kellie, marriage is laundry. Angela told me I said that to her before she got married. Words of wisdom from your future Aunt Neen. Stephen, your wish to save the planet from a burning, fiery death is admirable, but there's no excuse for b.o.

I had family folding night twice now, and have penciled one in for tomorrow night. The mountain goes in the middle of the bed and everybody assumes their position. We fold until the mountain disappears and everyone walks out with their stacks. I like it that way.

Darling Stephen,

I'm so glad that you are concerned for the environment. Your information however is incorrect. Doing laundry does add pollutants to the environment but it is the GROUND WATER that is in danger. It doesn't have anything to do with the GREENHOUSE EFFECT!) If you want to minimize the pollutants in the ground water (bravo!) all you have to do is look at the ingredients in your soap powder and buy only the soap that doesn't contain phosporous. That simple, and you can wash every day! Happy smells to you, until we meet again!

Son, throw in the towel. You are outnumbered!
