Crawfish Boil

Crawfish Boil

This is about a third of the people we had over for the crawfish boil earlier tonight. Some of the adults were inside because it was a bit chilly although it was a gorgeous day otherwise. Some of the kids were running around on the trails in the yard. A bit of an understatement to say the kids like the trails.

Louisiana Iris

This is one of the gorgeous Louisiana Irises that Katie was gracious enough to give me out of her drainage ditch. I took this picture earlier today before everyone got here. They like the pond I put them in. Thanks, Katie.

Thanks to everyone who came. Patsy and I had a great time. Getting to see Stephen's video was also great.

That was an awesome time, Robbie and Patsy. Our growing tribe is so much fun to be with. The kids interact so nicely together. It was so cool for them to have flashlights and walk through the woods. It was great to see Bobette and Mark, and to meet Mark's daughter, Michelle. (One "l" or two?) I am sorry we didn't pick up more outside before leaving. Aaron and Patrick were sitting in the car waiting and Michael had that look that only meant suffering down the road if I didn't take my dessert to go. btw, Patsy, that was delicious. What do you call that again? You gave me the recipe. I probably tucked it into my recipe folder. I will have to make that for somebody. Mmmm.

Robbie,
We had a great time! The kids love to play outside at your house. I totally could have had warmer weather, but other than that, it was perfect. Polina slept like the dead. She slept in until the very late hour of 7am (8am daylight savings time)!! The other people were slugs!! They have NO problem sleeping in!

Yes, Robbie & Patsy, it was a hit. My boys were out before I got to the bridge. And they too slept in this morning. They had such a good time, as did I. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Thank you Robbie and Patsy for the crawfish boil. I know the Georgia folks loved it.

Hey Rob and Patsy, Sorry I missed the boil. I've been all over the east coast of Mexico the last couple of weeks. I'm in Tuxpan right now but I'll be home by the 14th. This has been the most interesting job yet. I've actually worked about five days since I've been here. The rest of the time has been eating inexpensive meals and drinking cheap cervesas. Kevin

Sorry you missed it, too, brother-in-law. It was a little cool but the food was very good. Nice size, pretty well-seasoned crawfish. Wasn't a bad way to spend an evening. I just polished off the last of the sausage last night.
