In response to Grandma’s misconception that trekkies are the same thing as devoted Star Wars fans, I felt it necessary to refer to one of my favorite comic strips, The Norm. The series takes place outside a movie theater where they are camping out a month before Episode I is released. Stephen, I don't get it. Are you saying that Star Wars fans are more obsessed than Star Trek fans? I don't know about that. I have heard about strange people at Star Trek conventions. Are there Star Wars conventions? I have never thought of Star Wars or Star Trek just being a guy thing. I have always loved them and have always had female friends who do as well.

Not at all...just trying to point out that there is a clear difference. Nothing to do with the sexes. Star Wars is good fun for everyone.
