Uh, Uh!! Not Me!

I would wait in line for hours to ride that. I LOVE roller coasters! I remember when we went to Cleveland for Thomas and Kate's wedding one summer with Sue, Scott, and the kids. We went to Cedar Point which boasted the highest roller coaster. We all rode it and I rode with Brianne who was 8 years old and just made the height requirement. She was excited about riding, but when it started to go, the first thing it did was very slowly climb that huge ascent and then dropped us down. Brianne started crying and saying that she wanted to get off. All I could do was laugh, poor thing. I was having a great time. When we got off she melted in Scott's arms. I don't know why I laughed so hard because I really did feel sorry for her.

This one is built exactly like the one in Cleveland. They added 20 or 30 feet for the record. I'd ride that sucker, too.

The one in Cleveland that was famous was an old time "crickety-crackety" coaster, but it was a lot of fun. That one in New Jersey looks like the new ones. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice that it doesn't just go up and down, it twists all the way up and down.

There is one in Cleveland almost identical to this one. Built on the same design by the same company as I recall. Though I would go on this one in a heartbeat, I am also certain that it would terrify me.

Angela-
I remember that, and I don't really appreciate you laughing at me! Poor little girl that I was, stuck on that awful ride...it didn't scar me for life though because I would love to go on that one!

My heart dropped into my stomach just looking at that one. No, I would not ride that thing. It should be illegal! I don't want any of my people on it, either. I did the Batman ride, with my feet dangling, several times last summer and prayed through 1/2 of it--always the slow half. I have real trouble with a slow ascent. I can't stand to ride anything with my people. Usually, I am worried that they will slip out of the restraint because they are so small. I stopped doing the Batman because I decided that I no longer needed to torture myself.
My favorite ride is the Rock n Roll rollercoaster in Disney World (MGM, I think). It is fast enough for me, but still very tame. It also is a very smooth ride--no whiplash.

Cool, lemme on that thing! Once I hit 40 I could no longer ride anything that spins. Started wearing reading glasses at the same time. Coincidence? Maybe the Scrambler but not even a Tilt-A-Whirl. Dizziness sets in... I absolutely love roller coasters. My local favorite is at Valleyfair, the "Wild Thing". I also love the Power Tower. I'm sure you know it under a different name. There are 2 rides, one is a very slow vertical climb, then dropped at the speed of light. The other shoots you up at the same speed then has a snail's pace descent. Very cool.

That reminds me of dreams I have where I am driving a car up a steep hill that gets steeper and I fear going backwards and the top of the incline is out of sight, or maybe doesn't connect to anything and I have to back down.

That roller coaster looks awesome. I'd ride that for sure. I also used to like spinning rides, especially the kind with centrifugal force that would slam your head to the back of it, or smoosh you up against your co-riders or vice-versa. Those were the days...
