This movie was only mildly entertaining. I like happy endings and this one had a predictably happy ending. Ice Cube produced it. It was a family movie and Aaron is funny about not seeing anything bolder than a PG rated movie. It isn't one I'd see again. Like I said before, I want violence and language, maybe nudity and situations unsuitable for kids for the next movie. I am thinking of borrowing "The Matrix" from somebody. I actually prefer romantic-comedy or action-adventure.
Some of my all time favorites: "A Fish Called Wanda", "Waking Ned Devine", National Lampoon's "American Vacation", "Groundhog's Day", "Lost in America" and "Defending Your Life"... That's about it off the top of my head.

I recommend Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
I recommend "Highway 61", which is offbeat in the "Waking Ned Devine" kind of way - cultural differences, some "adult situations" - and the devil who looks like Tommy Lee Jones but isn't.
I saw Cinderella Man the other day and liked it a lot, in spite of the leading man and the leading lady. I did like Russell in A Beautiful Mind and I did like Renee in Cold Mountain, but mostly I don't care for them. However, Cinderella Man is a wonderful movie, thoroughly enjoyable. Christina left the theater when the boxing matches were on. They were a little off the wall, the sound effects especially, it seemed to me. Not that I've ever been to one, but I have seen them on television, and I don't recall those LOUD punches or people staying on their feet when their heads are being knocked off.
I'm with you Janine. The next movie I see will be a step up from "Madagascar". Danny and I saw that over the weekend. He loved it. I admit to laughing out loud at a couple of the lines but...
I'm in the mood for a chick-flick. Has anyone seen the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants yet? Appears to qualify as a chick-flick albeit young chicks. Actually, maybe a tear-jerker instead. Anything in the theaters now that qualifies?
Danny still prefers kid movies. I'm working on watching videos with him that are kids movies but are not cartoon. Angels in the Outfield, the Sandlot, even a few musicals. He sat through South Pacific, didn't like it. He loved the Sound of Music, probably because of the kids in it. Last night we started the Pink Panther strikes again. If his mother is a clown, he ought to learn to enjoy slapstick. Right?
