This is the fun time of year. A little bunny scooted out of my tomato garden the other day. I think its been nibbling on the lower tomatoes that it can reach. I lose 10-15% of my tomatoes every season to insects or critters. I still have enough left over and they gotta eat, too, so I don’t bother trying to keep them away. The only way to do that would involve pesticides. I prefer to just grow more than I need. I was offered a fantasy football player for some of these yesterday.

You do so well with growing things, Robbie. You must have gotten that farmer gene from the O'Connell side. I planted two tomato plants this year. One of the tomatoes, on one of the (shall I say) bushes, may be ready soon. Other than that, I counted about 11 little tomato balls, and there are another handful of flowers yet that I am not counting on to turn into tomatoes. Maybe I need more plants.
I'm hit and miss on the growing things, Janine. I can kill a dogwood tree better than anyone and the lovely wild magnolia tree Katie gave me died. I do OK on tomatoes.
