Or, I should say Michael did. A few weeks ago, we put up a gate to our driveway and posted "No Trespassing" signs all over the property to prevent 4-wheelers from using our driveway for their passage to the woods in the back. They can ride for miles back there and our nearest neighbors dammed up their passages so it left only us as their way to get in and out. There were many of them that rode through at all hours of the night, they tore up our driveway and Michael would rake rocks back in place, they knocked down blockades, the dogs would go crazy for barking and we feared that one day harm might come to either of them. Michael stopped groups of them on two occasions and told them not to come through our property.
After he dialed 911 last night, which is the second time he made a formal complaint, he was going to just go back to bed after calling. But being the fan of "Cops" that he is, he kept vigil. I fell asleep. I am not sure if the kids were still up or not. When Michael finally came back to bed, he told me "they got three of them." I knew he slept more peacefully then.
It isn't the same level of excitement that Elizabeth had in her neighborhood last week, but it's the best we got here.

Think they'll know who dropped a dime on them? Or is it 50 cents?
I am pretty certain they know who complained. Michael doesn't care. He is nervy as all get out. The children are coming to work with me today. I think they feel vulnerable staying home alone. I am glad that they can come with me to work. We pack snacks and lunch, and play games. They get a little bored sometimes, but then they find things to do - even if it is aggravating each other - which is fun for them, but annoying to me. They know to go into the spare room and lay low when customers come in.
Their day at work doesn't sound much different from their day at home. And annoying each other, and you at the same time, is a child's real job. Some of mine were specialists at their jobs, bless their hearts.
