The wedding of the year

The Happy Couple.jpg
The wedding was wonderful. Stephen and Kellie are a lovely couple to behold. I have a picture of Stephen walking Sue down the aisle to her seat, but I don't think she would appreciate my publishing it. They had rehearsed the night before with a groomsman taking Sue to her proper place before the bridesmaids entered. Right before the doors opened for the mother of the groom to come in, Stephen came from around the corner and took her arm. She barely stayed composed. Some of us felt free to let the tears roll. It was a very touching moment.

The highlight of the reception had to be when Scott(the Ed Harris look alike) jumped on the dance floor and cut a rug with Kellie. He did some moves that Sue swore she has never seen him do before and didn't know he was capable of; a jump-split. I have to tell Michael to move over with his jump-kick maneuver, Scott. That was awesome.

Kellie was so beautiful that night. At the rehearsel dinner, Sue and Scott produced a film with highlights of Stephen and Kellie through the years and then to their fateful meeting. It was so sweet. We watched it again at the lake house. Kellie was so adorable throughout. Of course, Stephen too.

It was such a fun event. I am so glad I got to go.

Janine,

Thanks for posting pictures. I have been waiting to see some of them. Unfortunately I missed the now famous "split" by Scott. If you have time and don't mind, please send me some pictures at my e-mail address barbara_a_kennon@dom.com. My Mom would love to see some of the pictures and I didn't bring my camera.

Janine, great pictures. I wish I could click on the one of all of us and it would enlarge. I can't see us very good.

I also had a fabulous time. Kellie was beautiful. Her dress was gorgeous and she looked pefect in it. She will be a nice addition to our family gatherings, and not because of how she looks! She has a great spirit.

Congratulations again to Stephen and Kellie. It looked like a beatiful gathering. What fun for all of you to be able to attend! I'm sure Sue and Scott are now in recovery mode. Thanks for posting the pics. Carol

Thanks, Janine. Great pictures. I'm more than a tad disappointed that I couldn't go.

I am still in shock that Stephen is married, but I would not have chosen any other person for him to spend the rest of his life with. I have never seen either of them happier than they were that night!

Congratulations Kellie and Stephen! What a beautiful couple you make. Sue, it's hard to believe your baby is married - are we really that old? Everyone looked great in the pictures. The one of you being walked down the isle would have been nice to see.
Congratulations again to you and your family!

Okay. Here's a question for Brianne or Scott, or maybe anyone else who witnessed it: during a dance together, Scott did a 90 mph race around the perimeter of the dance crowd, holding onto Brianne. I think it was a sort of sideways slide step but it went so fast I'm not sure. Now my question is this: Brianne, did you also race or were your feet off the ground and your dad carried you? Nobody I've asked saw this maneuver, but it was spectacular and I've never seen it before. I felt I was watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and I am so sorry I was the only one to see it. Please respond.

Grandma-

I have to say, Dad followed my lead on the galloping around the dance floor. He told me to put that he was so light on his feet he was carrying me around, but really I was running right along side of him. There is a good picture that the photographer took capturing the moment. Mom said she is disappointed because she didn't get to see it either.

Brianne -- If you can find that picture, Janine told me it was in the package but I missed it and deleted it, if you can find it, please send it to me. Who was the photographer? I have a picture etched in my brain of the two of you flying, but in my mind it seems like your two feet are straight out. Where did that come from? How did you not crash into anyone? I just wish I could see a video of it, to straighten out my memory. Thanks for answering me -- isn't it odd that so many people were there and nobody I asked saw you do that remarkable feat. It was just wonderful!!

I think one of the photographers took the picture. There may have been some moments there that my feet were off the ground. We were going so fast, and I couldn't stop laughing! I am surprised we did not crash into anyone, although I think the dance floor was somewhat clear at this point.
