Goblet of Fire

We won’t try to make it to the opening weekend of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but we’ll see it sometime before it ends its theater run, probably at a Sunday matinee, and we’ll undoubtedly purchase the DVD when it comes out. Patsy and I are both fans of the books and movies. I think I’m a bigger fan of the movies, though. They've gotten better every time out. The books haven’t.

I'm certain some of us are going this weekend. You?

I don't think I am going to be able to make the opening day, but hopefully I will make it sometime this weekend. But I am going to have to disagree with you, I think the books are much better than the movies! And I cannot wait until the next one comes out!

I forgot to mention that I am re-reading the fourth book right now so I can be ready when the movie comes out.

I have found the 4th, 5th, and 6th books to be enjoyable in spots but quite tedious in others. The first three, particularly the 3rd, were excellent.

I thought they were all excellent reads, though I haven't read the 6th yet. Julia, Aaron, and I have read the 1st one together at bed-time, and now are more than half-way through the 2nd Harry Potter book "Chamber of Secrets". Aaron has re-read the 4th and 5th. I don't really care for the movies as much. That is always the way with me. If I like the story, I don't need Hollywood to flesh it out for me.

I agree with Janine & Brianne, the books are sooo much better than the movie. However, each movie has gotten better so I'm really looking forward to seeing the newest one. We may go Sunday night, since I don't have school on Monday!! Woo-hoo!

We've only been back in school for 37 days and yet I started counting down to the holidays around day 25!! It's pathetic really, but I just love my days off.

Patsy and I are going to see it tonight at 10:30PM.

We saw Goblet of Fire today. It was definitely the best one yet. They didn't tie up a few loose ends like I would have liked but other than that, thoroughly enjoyable and magical.

Katie, Lars, Amy and I saw Goblet of Fire tonight and I give it a thumbs up. L&A picked the beginning apart but still enjoyed it. I've only read a third of the very first book so I'm blissfully ignorant of any inconsistencies in the storyline. I'm amazed at the army of people it takes to make a movie with so much special effects and animation. The credits rolled for over ten minutes!
