What do I mean "I'm back!"? I had a major malfunction of my computer. First I had no modem or at least that is what the computer was telling me, so I get a new one (modem) and it still tells me I had no modem. Ed (Joan's husband) worked on it at least once a week and couldn't get it to work. Mike came by and tried to fix it and he finally said that it was probably the mother board and that I would be better off with a new computer. I took his advice and called Dell and I had one delivered on Tuesday of this week. I installed everything, read what has been on the blog and responded to and deleted about 350 email messages. I really missed my computer!!!
I'm BAAACK!!!

YAY. Welcome back, Beth.
I had to buy a new one recently also. I used Christina's while she was here, but when she moved out, I had to make my move. Uncle Sam's computer was barely three years old when his mother board went out. There's no repair for that I was told, so here's my new Dell.
Glad to hear you are up and running. I'm going to get a new computere very soon, like next week. From what everyone is saying, Dell is the one to get. Carol
I got a new Dell last week and I love it! I didn't love trying to save all of my stuff from my old computer and put it back on my new one. I really wanted all of my emails from Outlook Express. I saved them to disc, but my new computer can't open them for some reason. There was a program at BestBuy you could buy to transfer all of your programs and documents to your new computer, but it was $70. I didn't want to spend that and decided that I won't miss those email messages.
You should be able to import those messages through Outlook Express, Angela.
Computers are a pain when they go out. We are on our fourth one since we bought the first one in 1994. I don't think one has lasted over three years.
I just wanted to announce that I got a new computer from my parents a few months ago, and I love it! I just thought that went along with the conversation!
I really like Dell! The problem is I have to remember things that were on my old one and "try" to put it on this one What a Pain! If you have to get a new one Dell is the place to go!!!!!
