Getting his hair cut...
After the haircut...
Getting into mischief already...
Joey and Samuel got their hairs cut on Wednesday. The girl in the picture is a friend of ours. She owns a shop where Joey always gets his hair cut. Samuel was a perfect angel. He sat perfectly still and was so adorable the whole time. He never fussed at all. Now he looks like a little boy, not my sweet little baby anymore. He has started to walk behind his push toys and walk around furniture. He might be walking by his 1st birthday. Where has the last year gone? This time last year Joey and I were attending Lamaze classes. So much can change in a year's time!

She did a great job. Samuel always looks like a little boy to me, though.
What a handsome little boy. Hes going to have all the little girls fighting over him with those big blue eyes!
Even though I previewed it, I missed the apostrophe in He's. Sorry Aunt Ginnie.
These are wonderful pictures. He looks so chastened in the second picture, as if he's not sure how he looks. But in the third picture, there he is with his big, tricky smile.
You're safe, Janice. I've given up my club. I'm just so glad to see people responding on the blog that I don't even notice missing apostrophes. And listen. I made a mistake not long ago. So don't worry about me.
The first thing Patrick said when I was scrolling through the pictures and we came to the 2nd one was "HE'S A LITTLE BOY!" I knew just what he meant because I thought the same thing. My boys never had enough hair to get a haircut until their 2nd birthdays but they still looked like they were transformed from baby to little boy status!
Angela and Joey,
He is so beautiful. I haven't been on the blog since before the storm so I haven't been keeping up with the family. I cannot believe how big he has gotten. He still has those beautiful big blue eyes!!!! I can't believe he is going to be a year old soon.
Fun pictures. I know you will be glad you are documenting all the "first's" for Samuel. Very cute!! Carol
How adorable he is! I love that picture of him with your purse on the floor. That's cute.
Aaron cried through his first haircut at 13 months old. He had some curls at the bottom of his hair that got cut off, thus giving him that little-boy-look. It was traumatic for us both. He is still difficult to take to the barber and I fear when he gets more autonomy - he'll be bringing back the hippy look in Mandeville. (not that it ever went completely away - I see men with ponytails all the time)
Samuel has such big beautiful big eyes. How will you ever be able to say "no" to a face like that!
I gave Murphy her first haircut just after Halloween. Katie kept telling me she looked like the Dad on "Everybody Loves Raymond" so I had to do something about it. Her hair has gotten longer again and I'm now wondering if the bowl-cut will work again or if I should bring her to a professional. Judging from her disposition at her Santa sitting, (which I would love to post if I get my scanner working - it's a great laugh) I'm thinking we might have to settle for the bowl cut. She doesn't like strangers and usually lets them know.
Angela, I love the pictures of baby Samuel. I also loved reading everyone's comments. Mary, I would love to see a picture of Murphy with her bowl cut. My sweet Polina decided that her bangs were in her eyes, so she took scissors in hand and cut them back to her scalp!
