You and I are on the same wavelength this morning, Carol. Your entry came up at the same time as mine.
Are you home with a sick child too? Julia is going to the doctor at 11. Her fever is only 100.4, but this is day 4. Yesterday, it spiked to 103.8 for a few moments. It could be strep. Her friend that spent the night and went home early Saturday morning, went to the dr. and was diagnosed with it. I have been dosing her with our usual echinacea/goldenseal and zinc lozenges. She woke me up for medicine(Robitussin) at 3a.m. I sleep-walked into the kitchen to get it. Michael wanted to know this morning why Julia woke us up. I said, "us?" She complained about the lack of nurturing she got from me this morning. I got her the medicine and went back into REM sleep in seconds flat. She stayed up and watched tv until 3:30 she said.
Rob -- I forgot I was on your big official blog that goes all over the world when I made that little entry regarding your childhood. I wonder if it's possible to swing that over to this family blog which is a little more provincial.
If my memory serves me correctly you're about 14 months older than Sue, right? Just trying to keep track without just asking how old you are... I didn't think you had hit THAT number yet. Enjoy your day. Carol, Janice, Joan and I are meeting for dinner tonight, we'll salute your day with our Olive Garden salad forks.
Laura , I am so jealous that y'all got to go to Olive Garden. I have wanted to go there since the storm. Scott and I have tried to go a couple of times and my Mama and I also tried to go. They have funny hours down here now--dinner only. Also, there isn't one close to our house and they are always packed.
I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday, but Happy Birthday anyway. I will hand deliver your card to you on Sunday because I don't believe in the mail system anymore. Well, I'm just not organized enough to think about something 2 weeks in advance to send it.

Janine, No I'm not home with a sick child. Thankfully!! Sorry to hear Julia is under the weather. Hope she gets better soon. Carol
Thanks Carol.

Both of these blogs go over the same internet. It doesn't matter. It's more topical there, though, because of your additional sneeze reference.

I'm beginning to believe every year is THAT number now but the number of demarcation is next year.
Rob, I hope you have had a great birthday! Did you get my card? I like to hear how the post-Katrina mail system works.

No card yet, Elizabeth. Mom's got here yesterday and Sue's, as always, today.
