Happy Birthday! Are you planning on anything fun today or over the weekend to celebrate?

The windchill here this morning on my way in to work was -25. The actual temp is only -7 but oh does that wind make a difference. You really notice it downtown when it whips around the tall buildings! Brrr!

Julia got on the bus today. She couldn't take another day of lying around, eating and drinking whenever and whatever, and watching tv - talking on the phone to her friend that was also home sick. She is 11 now, so that means the phone is starting to bond to her head. We have to arm wrestle now for the use of it.

My Minnesotan transplanted friend is taking me to lunch today. This evening, maybe a parade. Jim's high school band is marching in that tonight. I'd love to hear them.

Wish I had some cousins here to have dinner with. That sounded like fun.

You and I were writing at the same time, Laura. Thanks for the birthday wish. I don't know how I could take the cold like that. My brother-in-law in Michigan gives us a weather report every week when we touch base with him. He love, love, loves the cold weather. He said he isn't coming back down here except for funerals and possibly the kids' weddings. He is such a polar bear.
