Guess who's still here?I think he's challenging me to a duel. His mate is behind me somewhere and he's a bit flustered. Very peculiar birds.

Looks like he's missing a feather. Maybe he's posing for the camera. I don't know, Rob, can you take him? I think it's special that a pair of turkeys have adopted y'all. Have you grown to like them and consider them part of your family of pets?
Spring turkey season starts in April/May here--John and Zack both have their licenses and season times already. Do you have yours?? I agree they are strange birds.
What a gorgeous creature. I am so pleased he made it through the winter in good health and looking so shiney and bright. Have you found the clutch of eggs yet?
They were fun for a week, Janine. I'd rather they were fun for someone else now.
I couldn't shoot these birds, Nancy. I can walk right up to them.
No eggs seen yet, Mom.
watch out for his spurs when you walk up to him. do you have him eating out of your hand yet, or just your garden/yard?
We don't let any of the wildlife eat out of our hands, Nancy. Too risky. For us and the wildlife. Mom had a hummingbird land on her hand when she was staying with us. Scared both of them.
