Easter in Lawrenceville

Scott had to work on Easter, but the rest of us had a very relaxing day. We had a wonderful dinner at around 6:30. We took a lot of pictures. I opened presents and we had the delicious Creme Brulee as my birthday cake. It came out great and I was so appreciative of Scott's efforts. Kellie, Stephen and Brianne headed back to Milledgeville a little after 9:00 and David cleaned the kitchen.

Stephen was offered a Social Studies teaching position today at South Gwinnett High School. He is relieved and happy to have a job. Kellie will be working nearby at Brookwood Elementary teaching first grade. They have rented a house one half mile from me. I have repeatedly assured them that I will not be all up in their buisness . . . too much!

Such a pretty family. Congratulations Stephen on the teaching position & Kellie too. How lucky are y'all? Sue, didn't you try to get on with Gwinnett for a long time? They just come in and right off the bat get a job. I guess the massive growth in the area doesn't hurt. Kudos to the Master teachers & congratulations too on the impending graduations.

Great pics, Sue. Scott could be a pastry chef if that law enforcement thing doesn't work out. Those things are worth about $6.50/ea in the finer restaurants in New Orleans. I get it wherever it is served, too.

Scott -- Sue said you would be pleased to make me a creme brulee when I visit. Instead of a ramekin though, I believe a cereal bowl would serve better. Also, I don't eat strawberries so you can save those for the folks who do. I also order them at every estaurant (Robbie said that first). I had one recently, with Katie and Kevin in Mandeville, and it was delicious, but the ramekin was only about 1/8 inch deep so I think for the $7 price tag we were cheated of about $5 worth of dessert.

Those strawberries are beautiful! Did Scott do that himself? Great pictures, and congratulations to both Stephen and Kellie on their job placements! How great is that for them to have the exact same schedule and working so near each other?! And how great for them to live so near their mama who is a great cook!

What fun pictures! It's so fun to see your family and events through pictures. I still can't believe you have a married son! Carol

Scott, the creme brulee looks yummy. I have never had it before. I would like to put in my order now for when we come to visit on our next hurricane vacation. The paper today expects lots of mandatory evacuations to be called this season because of all of the fema trailors not being able to withstand any sort of wind.

Congratulations to Stephen on his Master's Degree. Kellie, did you get one as well? Congratulations to both of y'all on the new jobs and house.

Sue, I loved all of the pictures. Very nice.

Lovely Pictures! Was Kellie and Stephen's picture taken in your yard? I'm trying to place the area but come up blank.

Scott, the creme brulee looks fabo! I am so impressed! What a nice husband you are!

Awesome pictures, Sue. What a happy bunch you all are. And man, those creme brulees would make it into a competition. I love creme brulee too. I wouldn't call it a favorite, but it is up there with tiramisu. Love the picture with the Easter baskets. Scott gets big points for that, eh?

We've got our evacuation plan set. Two cars, with 2 people and 2 pets in each. Michigan maybe. Joe has room for us, just no fence for dogs. That is still the hard part - pets. Add a hamster to the list of pets to evacuate. Julia will not hear of us leaving her (or him) behind. Oreo is part of the family too.

I love the Easter pictures. How in the world did you get them to take a picture with their Easter Baskets????? I still carry a picture like that in my wallet of them when they were a lot younger from the Easter I spent with ya'll. I still cherish it to this day!!!!! Congratulations Stephen and Kellie on your jobs. Glad you will be close to your family - that is a good thing!!!
Scott - I am totally impressed!!!!! Sue - hope you had a wonderful birthday - it looks like you did.

Sue,

I forgot to mention this before. It's time for new bows. Those are the same bows you put on their baskets when I spent Easter with you many many years ago. We went to Michael's and had those made. And, where is Kellie's bow??????

That's funny that you mention that Ms. Barbara because my mom said that day she thought it was time for new bows!
