Thank you! Grandma I didn't know you were so poetic! I am going home, but we are having the birthday dinner tomorrow night. I have requested Aunt Janine's fried catfish (with the mustard), homemade macaroni, possibly some spinach, a ceasar salad, and I haven't quite decided yet, but I think the traditional birthday cake.
Happy Birfus Day baby girl. One more year and you will be legal!! Boy will we hafta start praying then. Love you so much I don't hardly know what to do. Love u know who..
Hey, and while you're at it, can you pretend I made the catfish too. I am sorry about being a slouch this year on birthdays. (unfortunately, I am not sorry enough to do anything more than lament.) It isn't that I don't think of that wonderful, fateful day when you came into the world 20 years ago. I was in San Diego when I got the news and it was so exciting to have a brand new niece. When your Mom surprised us with a visit for Mother's Day 5 or so weeks later, I couldn't wait to get my hands on you. You almost got worms with how much we held you.
I hope your dinner was good. I still love fried catfish and eat it whenever I get a chance to. I use your Mom's recipe for cole slaw, which makes a great side.
Happy Belated Birthday, Brianne Elizabeth. May you have many more.
And, may you be happy, healthy, and fulfilled. Amen.
Here is a belated Happy Birthday for you. I thought about you on your special day. I wasn't able to sent you a Happy Birthday because I was driving back from Houston - my six and 1/2 months tour of duty is almost over. I need to return for one more week and then I will be through - hopefully. Hope you had a very special Birthday!!!!!
