Happy Birthday, Nicole
Happy Birthday to my baby! Ashley says that retelling the birth story is gross so I'll only say that it went fast but not as fast as these last 15 years have gone. She had some friends over for a sleepover on Friday and they enjoyed pizza and fruit pizza for dessert. They actually were asleep by midnight! Tonight we had Tortelini and Strawberry Shortcake~YUM! Next on the agenda is getting the all important Driver's Permit!! Next Week, look out drivers of Hennepin County! Carol

Happy Birthday, Nicole. I'm sorry we're not going to learn all about your first appearance. I know I would have enjoyed it.
Happy, Happy, Nicole.
What? No story at all? That's okay. I kind of remember one - you had an induced labor so that Nicole could be a week early, keeping the birth weight down, and therefore not have to be taken by c-section. I didn't like the sections at all for my two, but from what I gather, none of them are a picnic.
Happy birthday, Nicole. May it be a wonderful year for you and may you have many more.
Janine, I can't believe you remember the circumstances of Nicole's birth!! You're right I was induced so that I didn't have another 10 lb baby and a C-section. Nicole came 11:41am May 1st 1991 weighing 8lbs 12 1/2 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. We didn't know if it was a boy or girl so it was exciting to finally meet our new daughter. It was weird to drop Ashley off at day care as if it were a normal day, head off to the hospital and later that afternoon, Dan picked Ashley up from daycare and then brought her to the hospital to meet her new baby sister. I would agree that no birth is a picnic, "v-back" is far easier for recovery than a c-section. I remember sending Dan off fishing for the opening weekend two weeks later. I'd have never done that with a c-section. What a fun 15 years (mostly) it has been. Carol
Happy Birthday, Nicole! Getting a driver's permit is so much fun! Kids here can't get one without taking driver's ed. first.
Nicole did finish the classroom portion a few weeks ago so she's good to go.
