Happy Birthday to Stephen and Omar
He is 24 today. Happy birthday, Stephen. I wish you much happiness and many more birthday celebrations. Make a wish.
Oh yeah, last night's teen awards gave out one to some up and coming songster with the best grill. Wierd-looking on an otherwise pretty girl.

It's Omar's, too. Happy, happy to both of them.
I can't remember how old Omar is. I think he's 18, but it really doesn't matter -- I can still say Happy Birthday, Omar as well as Happy Birthday, Stephen. I hope it's been a wonderful day for you both.
Omar must be 19, Mom. He was almost 1 when we went to the family reunion that Katie and Carol were pregnant at. That means, Ashley is going to be 18 too.
Omar is 19. He spent the day feeling pretty sickly from shots he took for his trip to India. He also spent over two hours in the dentist chair having cavaties filled.(ah, the power of coke!)He leaves today for a four month stay in India. He will be taking computer classes and will obtain certification in - what I'm not sure of - he'll be qualified to make bunches and bunches of money though. He'll spend a week in UAE with Hyder's cousin who plans to take him on a safari, and scuba diving, then it's on to India. He'll return Dec. 17. and start college in Jan. He's nervous, I'm excited and his dad is having a hard time letting him go.
Aunt Janine, thank you for remembering my birthday. I had a great birthday! Kellie, embarrassed me by sending a birthday gift bag filled with food (hickory farm sausage, smoked cheese, crackers, skittles, & a few other favs of mine) to my fourth period class...my worse class by the way. Anyway, she made crab cakes, stuffed potatoes, & asparagus for dinner, and it was delish. On top of the gift package, I also got an outfit from Kellie…a pair of pants, a nice shirt…and a bow tie! I have wanted a bow tie for the past year to wear in class (and elsewhere).
The pants had to be tailored though, but I still wore the shirt and tie despite Kellie’s protests. She wanted me to wait until the whole outfit was perfect, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to sport the bow. I got mixed reviews from my students…either they didn’t notice or the loved it! I like to think they did anyway.
Anyway, I had a great birthday. I still haven’t celebrated with the folks yet. We are still trying to figure out when everyone can get together. Even though it is just Brianne out of town this year, we have to deal with David’s busy schedule. We were supposed to workout together everyday this past week, but I keep getting rain checks…after I call to remind him of our “appointment.”
What is Omar doing in India? And for FOUR months?!? That is awesome! My only regret from college is that I did not do any kind of studying abroad. We had a friend that studied in Finland and then Caen, France (where we visited this past Christmas vacation). I have another friend who is leaving for Italy next Monday…we would like to visit her as well, but I don’t know if it will work out, because we are planning on going to Australia next May with one of my ex-professors/friend (current friend by the way, not an “ex”).
Right…happy belated bday Omar & good luck in India!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY STEPHEN!!!!! I was in Houston this week so I am just getting to checking the blog. Seems like you had a wonderful birthday and that Kellie made it very special for you. It is so hard to believe that you are 24. I still feel like you and I were watching Dumbo (for the 99th time in one week :0)) just yesterday. I had to throw that in!!!!!
Happy Birthday, Stephen! I,too, find it hard to believe you are twenty-four. I have a very vivid memory of seeing you for the first time at my parent's home. You were so cute with your little knee socks and Nuk pacifier. We all LOVED to turn it upside down in your mouth just to watch you turn it back around!!
It does sound like Kellie is treating you like a King. Y'all are both so lucky to have each other!
Happy Birthday to Omar as well. That is so exciting (and scary) to be going off to study in another country!
Elizabeth,
I forgot all about the pacifier thing - I used to love watching him do that too! He was just too cute but then again you all have such adorable children. Thanks for reminding me of that great memory.
