Happy Birthday, Elizabeth

Have a day...

Well, last year's birthday was celebrated under much different conditions, wasn't it? I was traveling from Bush to Lawrenceville, with Phillip driving my van. Scott Soule was following (chomping at the bit) us. They had been in Louisiana to check on Scott's house and pick me up at Robbie's and take me back to Sue's. I'm not sure, but I don't think they were able to check out Phillip's house -- I think they weren't allowed to cross the Causeway and enter Jefferson Parish. I'm hazy on this though, so maybe someone else could step in. In fact, most of that period is hazy in my bear-trap mind where I usually have total recall of every nuance -- for instance, I have no recollection of celebrating Elizabeth's birthday at Sue's. Did we? So much water under the bridge . . .

Happy Birthday, Elizabeth. Happy Birthday, Elizabeth.

Well, this birthday is celebrated under different circumstances from last year's, isn't it? I was traveling from Bush to Lawrenceville in my van, with Phillip driving. Scott Soule was following, chomping at the bit or, I should say, the accelerator. They had been in Mandeville to check out Scott's house and to pick me up. I don't think they checked out Phillip's house, but I may be mistaken. I don't think they were allowed to cross the bridge into Jefferson Parish at that time. I'm not sure we even celebrated Elizabeth's birthday. Just can't remember. So much water under the bridge . . .

Happy Birthday, Elizabeth. Happy Birthday, Elizabeth.

Okay. Here's the deal. I posted a commment and the machine told me "no way, can't be done, get out of here." So I checked and sure enough, there was no comment. However, I wanted to make a comment about Elizabeth's birthday, so I decided to call it up in my memory bank and submit it a second time. This time I had success. However, turns out, the first time was a success as well, which I found out when I saw two in a row, very similar but not letter-perfect. So now it's a contest: you can choose the first comment or the second comment as your favorite and post your own comment about it. Good luck.

Happy Birthday Liz! As I recall, Mary Catherine & Jimmy made her brownies for her birthday. I don't remember much of anything else.

Happiness Birthday Queen Elizabeth! Let's hope that your new neice isn't born today to usurp your crown.

Happy Birthday Lizzie!! This birthday finds you and your family on much drier ground but still fighting back for the normalcy and lives you had before Katrina. Enjoy your day.
PS. I noticed Angela made mention of a new niece to be born....I didn't know she/you knew what she was having!

Can't decide, Mom. I like them both.

And, Nancy, I didn't know that, either.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you,
happy birthday, Dear Elizabeth.
Happy birthday to you.

Mother, I liked them both.

Nancy, I don't think Angela knows. I believe she just has a premonition. Maybe she knows. She's had a few ultrasounds.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Elizabeth! Maybe you can splurge and have yourself a little cokie-poo on your special day!!

No, I don't know for sure that it's a girl- just mother's intuition. I will be very surprised, but just as happy, if it is a boy.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I had a lovely day with my people and the love of my life. Last year's birthday was crummy. Mama, you all were not present for my big day. I was worried sick about Scott, you, Phil, the house, everything.....Mary Catherine made me a chocolate cake and Jim may have made brownies (a little vague). It was not jolly, to say the least. We were all still riveted to the television and what was going on back at home.....worried about jobs, etc. It was all so depressing! A celebration at that time didn't seem right anyway.
