Welcome, Luke William Hunter

Mama told me that she and Julia thought that Luke resembled Lars as an infant and I agree. I cannot get over the size of him! He weighed the exact same as Patrick, and coincidentally, whose nickname is Luke or Lucas Lou. He is very beautiful and I wish so badly that I could hold him right away like everyone else. Somebody, bite those chubby cheeks for me!

Congratulations to the Hunter clan - now bigger by one! What a beautiful baby!! MashaAllah, which is what a we say when we see something beautiful. (translated it means "by the grace of God")

I like that "MashaAllah", Janice. He is beautiful, and a squishy, chubby, perfect little baby. Sue, I sniffed him and didn't smell anything. Angela said she didn't either. Julia smelled him and said he has that newborn scent. I don't know what Mom and Julia were seeing that reminded them of Lars.

We tried to see other newborns in the nursery, but they were all out in the mothers' rooms. I overheard a doctor telling a nurse that they have a full house.

That was my comment too.

He is a beautiful baby boy and I can't wait to hold him! I'm not too excited about coming down with Mom and Dad for the only fact that they are baby hogs!!

I can see baby Lars, maybe, but I think I see baby Katie more! I can't wait to see him! I would have been there last night but my own little petunia is unwell. My visit might have to wait until the weekend if I can hold out that long! I can't wait to hold him!

Congratulations Angela and Joey and big brother, Samuel. He's beautiful! He looks like a Ferrara (sorry Joey). I noticed that right away. He looks fairer than Samuel was as a newborn. Maybe it's just that I can't see his dark hair.
What was the original due date? He is a healthy sized baby, so good thing Angela didn't go any longer.

CONGRATULATIONS ANGELA, JOEY AND SAMUEL!!!!! He is so beautiful. I don't remember Lars when he was a baby but I do see a little of Katie in him and I think that Lars definitely looks like Katie. I'm glad that everyone is doing well.

I forgot the due date also? Congratulations to all. With the passing around of the babies in such a large family, do Angela and Joey get a turn too? And big brother Samuel? I hope everything went easy for you Angela.

Laura -- Angela and Joey get their chance during the midnight watch. His due date was 9-26 so, if that's correct, he came two weeks early. Nobody was expecting a large baby like this, but maybe the doctor should have guessed because Samuel was four weeks early and yet weighed 6 lbs 7 oz. (Someone can correct me on those numbers if I'm wrong.)

Now that y'all mention it, I do think that Luke looks a little like Lars. He is beautiful and such a good size! My people were all thrilled they got to see him. I felt pretty nervy bringing the whole family to see the precious newborn so I made it clear that no one, but me, was to hold him..... and we were only staying a few minutes.
