Bunk and his friends met at Kasey's house (his girlfriend) last night for the photo op before the Homecoming dance. We had to hurry as we were due at the dance to begin our chaperoning duty at 6:30. The photo op started at 6:00 and, of course, not everyone was on time. They went to a Japanese Steak House in Atlanta for dinner - all 22 of them. David said it was a lot of fun and he had been disappointed that they weren't going to Caraba's Italian Grille for chicken fettuccine. They got to the dance at around 9:45 and stayed until it ended at 11:00. I was starting to wonder if they were going to make it to the dance at all since it started at 7:00. The party continued at Kacey's where Kacey's parents were cooking out for them. They were also going to have a bonfire, watch movies and crash in her basement. This was our 6th year chaperoning. We worked in coat check this year and it's a great place to be because we get to see everyone all dressed up. The usual check-in is the guy's coat and then the girl's purse, shoes and corsage. Later in the evening, a girl handed Scott her wadded up pantyhose to have him put in her bag with her other things! He didn't realize what it was until he dropped it into the bag. Gross! We wish we were at the Christening today, but are glad we got to share Bunk's last High School Homecoming with him.

Very nice pics, Sue.
How cool of you and Scott to do that duty. That's funny about the girl handing her wadded up pantyhose to Scott. What a great-looking group of young adults, and David, especially, looked handsome. My, how he's grown!! We missed y'all yesterday, but look forward to seeing you at Thanksgiving.
btw, you and Scott looked marvelous too. Plus, I hadn't heard about David's girlfriend, Kasey, before. They make a cute couple. What are David's plans for next year? Is he going to the same school that Stephen, Kellie, and Brianne did?
Wonderful pictures. Is the staircase at Kasey's house? The backyard or something? She's a beautiful girl; a good match for David's special beauty which, of course, is so manly. It sounds like a really wonderful night. I know you're glad you have one more left in your bag of events. We missed you yesterday, but look forward to Thanksgiving. I enjoyed our visit last night. Also, I repeat, I enjoyed the Georgia visitors company immensely. Lovely people, all of them.
GREAT PICTURES!!!! Thanks for sharing them. David, you look soooo handsome and what a cute girl. Hope you had a good time.
Great pictures of all! Your homecoming is as fancy as prom is here---what do you do for that? Looks like guys and girls were having a good time.
The pictures were taken in Kasey's backyard. She had a four tiered deck with a hot tub in one of the tiers. The backyard was landscaped beautifully by her dad. None of that shows up in any of these pictures. The only difference in the homecoming dance and the prom, as far as I can tell, is that boys rent tuxedos for the prom. The girls get manicures, pedicures, facials, make-up applied and hair done at salons for both of the dances. I've never seen anything like it! I don't think anyone did that when I was in high school. The first picture has Wade in it. He is our neighbor and has been Bunk's best friend since 3rd grade I think. Bunk has been hanging out in that big group since 9th grade I think but he and Kasey only became a couple 7 months ago. He does hope to go to Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Also - the seniors voted him "The Cutest" as a senior superlative. Hope that gives him an edge, you know, like getting out of a speeding ticket or maybe a job interview or perhaps getting into college or something . . .
Sue,
He definitely is the cutest!!! Don't worry about him - With those looks and his personality - he'll be just fine.
Sue, I'm glad you posted pictures to go with the story. They all looked fabulous! Senior homecoming is an important event. I know Ashley sure enjoyed hers. Carol
I just love the yellow strapless dress(2nd from right, bottom row)! It's quite different from all the rest.
