"RV"

There were many "as ifs" in RV, but if one suspended disbelief - this movie was very entertaining. I give it a thumbs up. Jeff Daniels, Robin Williams. I enjoyed the commentaries just as much as the film.

I'll probably wait for it to come to HBO. Not my kind of movie.

I rented it from "Netflix" and wished I hadn't! Yeah, some parts were funny, but I really did not like the movie!

I have had this from Netflix for three weeks now and can't muster up enough interest to watch it. I do that all the time. Netflix is just not worth it for me. I have returned so many movies, unwatched.

Okay, we watched this last night. It was funny at parts. Jackson & Jacob loved it. On the whole, it was entertaining. I've seen worse.

I have to watch things that aren't necessarily what I would watch if I was alone. It isn't easy finding a family movie that doesn't have scenes that make one or more of us squirm.

I took Aaron to see "Saw" yesterday. It was rated "R" and he met up with a girl and her Dad for the film. Because he is only 14, he had to be accompanied by an adult. He wouldn't tell me what movie he was going to see until we were on the way there. He claims he saw the first one. I thought he'd be camping out on the futon in my room for the rest of the week, but he insists that it wasn't scary. How teens are so de-sensitized to the thrill these days... It takes more gore and realistic violence and gratuitous dismembering for them to be satisfactorily disturbed. Yuck and more yuck.

I can't believe you let him see that movie! And with you to boot!! I can't even watch the commercials of those creepy movies. Phil's so good to me, he knows I get freaked out at just the commercials, so he changes the channel real quick when one comes on.

You misunderstood me, Christina. There's no way that I'd see a movie like that. When he told me of the first one, he saidt, "it was no big deal. These people were caught in a house and the only way they could get out was if they cut off their feet."

"Saw" had a one sheet that was teeth hanging on strings. I am not going to ask Aaron what that was about. I stick with comedies, action adventure, some drama - if it isn't a tear-jerker.
