There's a new sheriff in town

We had fun trick-or-treating last night in Christina's neighborhood. It sure isn't the same as when we were little though. We only hit about 10 houses, and of those houses, only about 3 had people passing out candy. The rest of the houses had out a bowl with a note saying "Take one." I was a little disappointed since my baby looked so darn cute. I needed someone to open the door and say how cute he looked and for him to practice the ritual saying. Jackson and Jacob and the other children in the neighborhood seemed to enjoy running around in the streets and playing with each other than the getting candy part. Her neighborhood does a block party with a space walk and hay rides. Samuel got his first sucker last night and he kept asking for more. He's hooked already!

On another note, my boy is ready for potty training, but I'm not! He kept asking me to put him on the potty two nights ago at bath time and when I did he produced. We did the big potty dance and stood on our heads and gave the m&m treat afterward. He asked to go last night again at bath time and again he was successful. I just don't have time to fool with that right now, but it thrills me that he's showing such interest.

Wonderful pictures. Luke looks so much like a Hunter (specifically, Mike) here -- nothing like a pumpkin! Samuel's outfit is adorable. And J&J looked great too. A nice night, sounds like. Mine was okay. One 12- year old girl and her mother were my only door-knockers. So now I've got all those Snickers to take care of. Darn.

They all look so adorable. Love the block party idea. Michael and I passed out candy at Elizabeth's so we could provide nice attention to all those precious trick-or-treaters. Elizabeth encountered many bowls with "take one" on it. Those took the longest as Joe and Polina would sort through the bowls looking for something they liked and then taking their time about which of those they would take.

Samuel's picture looks like one of those professional ones from way back - in the Roy Rogers' days. I want to see a picture of Jacob's costume. It looks cool, er, I mean HOT.

The pictures came out great of the adorable people in Harahan and Mandeville! In my neighborhod there is a block party up until trick or treat time. Then usually one adult per house stays home to hand out candy while the other takes the children around. Or in my case, my child goes with a group of friends while one adult stays home to hand out candy and the other adult hasn't come home from hunting yet!
