From Today's Times-Picayune ...

I have really loved the writing of Chris Rose since Hurricane Katrina. Before Katrina, I had never heard of him. Here's another great installment. Hopefully, you won't have to register. Registration is free if you do have to.

I'll represent, too, Chris.

I used to love Chris Rose. Then he got all up on his high horse and he irritated me with his post-Katrina stories. I didn't know, in my irritation, that he was experiencing depression due to Katrina and have since enjoyed him again. Dooce referenced him when he came out about his depression. She said he captured the feeling more eloquently than she had ever been able to.

Phil and I are off to Los Angeles to do some research for his restaurant. We have seven restaurants to scout out. Two of which, we'll be eating burgers that were on some list as being the burger you have to eat before you die. Can't wait! Anyway, we frantically went out this week to get our Saints jerseys so we could "represent" in L.A. GO SAINTS!!

Really? I loved the post-Katrina stories from him that I've read, especially that "One Dead in Attic" story that kinda made him famous.
