Plan to get in line at the bookstore at midnight on the day of its release? We're just going to go the Amazon route. It will be in our mailbox same day. I also don't intend to try to read it in one sitting. I've never done that even once in my life. Speculation has J.K. Rowling writing other books after this release about the wizard world she's created but I think this one due out on July 21 will do it for me. I've read them all so far and want to know how it turns out but I don't have much interest beyond that. She's had a good run.

Yes, I ordered mine from Barnes and Noble. You think you'll have it in the mailbox the same day it comes out? That would be great. I think two years ago when the 6th one came out, I ordered it but it came the day after it was released. I read that one in 3 days, I think. This time, I may have to fight Jackson to read it. He's reading the second book right now and almost finished.
It was in the mailbox on the day of release last time. Amazon guarantees it on all pre-orders. Don't know about Barnes & Noble. The last pre-order here was for The Historian and it got here on the day of release. It's a pretty thick book. I went to the Amazon website for something else later that same day and there were already 700 reader reviews for The Historian. How?
I might have to cancel my order with Barnes & Noble and order with Amazon.
I cancelled my order with B&N and ordered with Amazon & it was cheaper too! I just got an offer from Wal-Mart to pre-order and it says the delivery date will be the 21st too & it's cheaper than Amazon, plus they offer only 97 cents shipping. I don't feel like changing my order again but that's a good deal.
What I do is wait until I have enough stuff to order to get the free shipping. I think orders over $25 have free shipping. Don't fret about the cheaper Wal-Mart offer. When it's all over, Amazon will probably refund some of your money as some kind of price protection policy. They did that the last time we ordered a Harry Potter. A few weeks later, we got a credit on our card for a dollar or so.
