I love these bright pictures. Is that the Mississippi River behind you? Frozen over and covered with snow? These are just beautiful pictures of beautiful people (and I'm not just saying that) in a beautiful place.

I agree with Mom, Nancy. Beautiful pictures. Is this your place?

Yes, this is on our land overlooking the Mississippi. The weather and snow was perfect for our walk(and none of us fell down!).

Great pictures Nanc! How's John keeping busy with retirement? Besides snowshoeing with his lovely wife and daughter!

Falling down is common?

Sometimes,if the tip of your shoe gets caught under the snow it can pitch you forward or if you are walking downhill and/or through a drift(seen or unseen) the same can happen. It's funny whenever it does happen. Just ask Annie--she laughed so hard she couldn't help me up!

Nancy -- you should frame that wonderful picture of you and John. You'll need to identify yourselves though -- husband with wife or something like that -- so people won't think you are his daughter because you are so young-looking!! (That's for when it goes on the wall at the County Fair for the photography trophy.)

Fun pictures! I'm glad you finally got to get out on your snowshoes! And, I'm glad you didn't fall :).

Wonderful pictures, Nancy! We have finally gotten some warmer sunny weather after a two week rainy cold snap. It was around 70 this afternoon. Scott had the day off so he went fishing. He didn't catch anything but still enjoyed being outside.

Great fun in the snow pics. I thought you were on the St. Croix River, not the Mississippi?

I took some pictures on Friday before shoveling out. I actually took a snow day myself. Crystal does a wonderful job plowing but there was no way my little Saturn was going to make it through the side streets to get to the bus stop by 6:15 a.m. Phooey! The yardstick on top of my patio set showed 22 inches. We had just over 10" from the previous snowfall. The snow completely covered my birdbath from top to bottom.

Miss Daisy is not appreciating the snow as much as the rest of us. It's had to get outside to do your duty when the snow is higher than you are. Paul usually snowblows a series of paths through the backyard that ends up looking like crop circles.

I had the flu (again) this past weekend otherwise would have posted the birdbath pic along with a picture from our Florida trip. Hugging palm trees one week and shoveling a foot of snow the next. Hmmm..
