The TMNT movie about to be released reminds me of a story. TMNT stands for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and they were all the rage before Harry Potter. Unbeknownst to me, nephew Lars was a big fan. When I asked him about them in passing one day, he shouted “Kowabunga, dudette!” at me.
Best of luck to Phil. His new restaurant, Phil's Grill, is almost ready. Patsy and I ate there Saturday night. It's in an an area with a lot of traffic, a lot of office workers, a lot of residents, but also a lot of competition. The service was good and the food was excellent and affordable. I think he can hold his own. Thanks for the invite, Phil and Christina. It was a real treat.
Yes, I enjoyed it too. I highly recommend the pulled pork. AND the apple beignets! Delicious.

You're welcome, Robbie. Mom, I assume "pulled" means the manner in which it is prepared, inferring that it is very tender meat. Phil got his liquor license in the mail today. Phew! We were getting worried. And he got his tables today as well. He was hoping to open today, having run out of cash and needing to start charging for food but he just wasn't ready. Today has been a good day. Everything that was supposed to happen today, did. Clearing the way for Thursday's big opening day. Phil has been going around to neighbor businesses and delivering to-go food to them for the past three days. He's been getting rave reviews. He is actually worried that he'll be overwhelmed with the business and won't be able to keep up. Keep your fingers crossed!!
Both my kids were avid "Turtle" fans, I think Zack even had bedsheets with them on.

Thanks for the nice comments and great feedback from everyone who came by Saturday. Its really come together the last two days and the service and food both have been getting feedback I only imagined. I can't wait to see all of you eating there often!
