It's 9:05 and Patrick is still sleeping. This is unusual becaue he usually gets up early no matter what time he goes to bed. Maybe now that he is 14 years old, he has outgrown that. If that's true, he can start working on some others things he needs to outgrow! We are going to go to 10:30 mass and then come back home for his birtday brunch. Last year, he requested omlets for his birthday dinner. Scott makes wonderful omplets but each one takes so long because they're made individually. We thought that was not a good choice when we had 10 people to serve. BUT now we know how to make the omlets in a bag so we are going to do that today. I made a hash brown casserole and we'll have grits and biscuits (Patrick won't eat the casserole or grits but he loves biscuits!). He requested frozen lemonaid pie as his "cake" which I love because it is so easy to make. We will be missing Brianne, who is having a terrific time in New Orleans right now, and Bunk who has to be at work at 1:00. He's a busboy at Olive Garden.
A belated very Happy Birthday!!!!! I hope you enjoyed your omlet and that you had a wonderful birthday. I can't believe you are 14 - I have lost track of time. You grew up too fast!!!!!
